When it comes to tiles, long, skinny tiles are quite sought-after according to experts while marble walls and floors are also popular choices in modern households.

For example, it is said that purple boosts creativity and spirituality while blues and greens can create a soothing and calm atmosphere.
Red, meanwhile, is described as being a colour that inspires passion, power and energy.
