4 bed Detached House
£800,000
Pegwell Road, Ramsgate, Kent
With its mellow brickwork, varied roof lines, high chimney stack and first floor balcony, this impressive property has immediate kerb appeal. Built in 2020 to a high end specification it sits in a wraparound garden and approached via a block paved driveway with parking for three/four cars and a gate to the garden. The front door opens into a tiled hallway with underfloor heating that continues throughout much of the ground floor and a staircase to the first floor galleried landing. There is a delightful triple aspect, L-shaped living space incorporating dining and breakfast areas as well as a modern kitchen. It features a new log burner surrounded by a stone fireplace with a granite hearth and three bi-fold doors to the terrace. While the well-equipped kitchen has glossy, flat fronted units with quartz worktops housing built in appliances and a door to the garden. There is also a cloakroom and a utility room. However the ‘star of the show' is the very spacious and well-proportioned nearly 18ft square triple aspect sitting room. The first floor landing has access to a loft, an airing cupboard and doors to the family bathroom, a large single bedroom that also makes an excellent study and three double bedrooms with high and low level electric sockets. These include one with delightful views over the garden and the guest room with an ensuite shower, a fitted cupboard and French doors to a glass fronted balcony. There are steps down to the very spacious main bedroom that features a fitted dressing area, a shower room and access to a separate boarded attic. The terrace includes space for a hot tub and is backed by a retaining wall with steps that lead to the rest of the garden that includes a garden shed. It is primarily laid to lawn bordered by fruit and herb beds, shrub beds with spring flowers and various seating areas. However the ‘piece de resistance' are the protected elm trees nestling in a small fairylike woodland glade incorporating a horseshoe shaped gravel pathway and charming flower beds. What the Owner says:
We bought this house from new as we liked the location but now want to move nearer our children. It is close to the seafront, the Bellevue Tavern and the Sir Stanley Grey pub and Seaview restaurant and just a 20 minute walk to the Viking Ship and café and a little further to the nature reserve. Alternatively we can wander into the town centre with its mainline station, theatre, independent shops, high street stores, hair and beauty salons, supermarkets including Waitrose and the marina as well as a large sandy beach.
There are excellent primary schools, a grammar and a private school in the town. Sporting enthusiasts can enjoy bowls and croquet and sailors can use the marina and the Royal Temple Yacht club. There are numerous golf courses and clubs available while Broadstairs includes rugby, tennis and cricket clubs.
