Gravesend is a heritage town in northwest Kent. Located on the south bank of the River Thames, it has long had an important role to play in the history and communications in the region. It still retains a strong link with the river today.

It is the administrative town of the Borough of Gravesham.

The opening of the Eurostar railway station at nearby Ebbsfleet, and the fact that it lies within the Thames Gateway, add to the town's importance.

The town offers a mix of properties from Victorian houses to modern waterside flats and apartments. Further inland, developments like Springhead Park, just 1.5 miles from the town centre also offer flexible shared ownership schemes.

With close proximity and good transport links to London, Gravesend is a popular location for commuters.
