Voted in 2005 the fourth best place to live in the United Kingdom, Ashford is a fast growing town attracting city workers and overseas enterprises because of its location and quality of life. Communications to the coast are good via the M20, it's high speed rail connects the town to London in just 37 minutes, and cities such as Paris and Brussels are less than two hours away, making Ashford an ideal place for thriving businesses, shops and new developments.

Ashford is also a great destination for shopping and leisure as the town centre boasts the newly redeveloped County Square Shopping Centre with it's 60 shops, and Park Mall Shopping Centre with more than 30 stores, including many favourite High Street names. Near Ashford International Station shoppers can enjoy more than 120 discounted designer brands at the Ashford Designer Outlet, a vast and exciting structure built in 2000 by the internationally renowned architect Richard Rogers.

Various business parks around the town offer garden centres, pubs, hotels, cinemas, restaurants and cafés; and those passionate about sport won't be disappointed either by leisure facilities such as the Stour Centre and the Julie Rose Stadium.

As you would expect, Ashford has a wide range of new homes and there are plans to expand with new developments in years to come. However, within walking distance of the town centre, surviving Georgian and Victorian buildings offer a fascinating glimpse of the original market town.
